MICHAEL WELFLE

I'm a Producer with 14 years of experience across TV, film, and tech. I began my career in traditional documentary and factual television, working on series and films for the CBC, Discovery Channel, and HBO.

For nearly a decade, I've led video production at Shopify, producing branded films, YouTube series, internal campaigns, and doc-style content centred on real people and stories. I've built and managed cross-functional teams, developed scalable systems, and overseen shoots across North America and Europe.

I bring a balance of creative and operational strengths to every production, from building crews and developing strategic shooting plans to managing post-production workflows. I'm continuing to grow as a Producer and am always interested in collaborating on projects that prioritize story, creativity, and emotional depth.
